Maluhia Lani is located on the beautiful slopes of Haleakala in Kula, Maui. Flight Instructor Dwight Mounts began his hang gliding career only a few thousand feet up from our current location 25 years ago with some of Maui’s early pioneers of weight shift flight. Five years ago, Dwight transferred his extensive knowledge of Maui’s skies to the exciting sport of powered hang gliding. Dwight now has two trikes and several wings in his hangar located at the end of our pristine 880 foot grass runway where he teaches locals and visitors alike the art of flying. Raised on Maui, and an avid hiker and explorer, Dwight has an intimate knowledge of the island, both from the ground and from the air.
